Families and kids have something to be happy about today. The First Lady and Disney announced new standards for programming and food advertisement that targets children. All advertisement on Disney channels will have to follow and meet Disney’s nutritional guidelines, which align with federal standards. Their guidelines focus on promoting more fruits and vegetables and limiting caloric intake.
I believe this is a step in the right direction to continue the fight against childhood obesity. What are your thoughts? Do you say “no” to junk food commercials?
