I had a blast at the 2013 International Toy Fair held at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC last week. This was my third year going and I really believe that it gets better each year. There is always so much to see, but this year I arrived with a plan and was able to stick to it. I can not stress how important it is to have a plan at conventions, such as the Toy Fair. There were thousands of toy companies and toys to see, but I was there for one reason and one reason only, to find my readers the very best in toys this year. I want you and your family to get excited when you see what I’ve found.
Over the next two weeks I will be posting individual product reviews, our exclusive toy fair reviews, and sneak peeks at what new toys will be hitting a store shelf near you. There were apps for kids, toy and app combinations, games, puzzles, huggable dolls, cars that flip, talking interactive toys and so much more. Get ready to have some fun with your kids when they get their hands on these new toys. Check back on the blog daily for the exclusives.
If you look below you’ll get a glimpse into some of the fun I had playing with the toys and making sure they are family and teacher approved. Watch the So family Toy Fair video recap. It’s a lot of fun. Hope you love it!
So, what do you think about the recap? Are you ready to read my reviews? What toys did you see in the video or in the pictures below that peak your interest? How old are your children? What toys or games interest your family?

Puzzles, Games, Sling Shots and more!
Dolls, Vampires, Go Carts and Life Sized Stuffed Animals!
I had a blast and I can’t wait to return next year!

What a fun video recap – this was my first year going, and I definitely agree that going with a plan is a great strategy! I had my short list of appointments and booths to see and pretty much stuck to it although I often just wanted to veer off and explore. Can’t wait until next year!
Yes Quiana, it is so hard not to veer off and find toys and games to explore. It’s actually overwhelming. There are thousands of toys and it doesn’t help that I’m a big kid at heart.
This will be most helpful over the next few weeks. I always feel like I’m grasping at thin air whe trying to choose gifts for my God children. At least I’ll have some trendy directive now.
Hi Joi! I’m so happy this was helpful. I can’t wait to share my picks on the blog. They will be some fun toys and of course some of them have to have a little Educational twist too.
Looking forward to your reviews!! You look like you had too much fun!! I will be paying attention very closely for toys for my boys
Nellie, I hope you like some of my picks from the toy fair. There was so much to see. But I think I did good.
I am so jelly you got to go to toy fair! Can’t wait to hear about your faves!
It was fun, wish you could have been there. Hopefully you’ll like my favorite picks.
