The sliced apples that kids love are being recalled. To be specific, the sliced apples manufactured by Missa Bay LLC, which is owned by Ready Pac Foods based out of New Jersey are being recalled. They have been recalled in 3 dozen states across the country due to a possible listeria contamination. Ingesting listeria can cause food poisoning.
These sliced apples are distributed to large restaurant chains like McDonalds and Burger King. They are known as “Apple Dippers” at McDonald Restaurants. These sliced apples are also distributed to grocery stores as well. The apple slices label to look out for in your grocery store would be “Ready Pac” and salad kits with a “Safeway Farms” label.
The affected snacks will have printed use by dates between July 8 and August 20. Please check your refrigerators for any of these products with the dates listed above.
