We are waking up to a day that is filled with so many horrific memories that changed our country only 9 years ago. Today marks the 9th anniversary of 9/11, the attacks on our country.
Many of us still remember exactly what we were doing the moment we heard word that the first plane hit. I remember watching the smoke filled New York City air from my office building and then trying to get through the chaotic streets to some how find my way home. However, your children don’t share those same memories. Some of them weren’t even born at the time of the attacks, but now they have reached an age that allows them to listen, read and ask questions about the world around them.
This can be a difficult time for parents. How do you explain the horrific events of 9/11. How do you explain terrorism? Every parent has a different approach, but if you're not sure which approach to take then click on some of the links below.
