Today is the birthday of Dr. Seuss, whose real name is Theodor Geisel.  In honor of this special day the National Education Assn. has declared March 2nd as Read Across America Day.  This will be the 14th year that schools, libraries and community centers particpate and celebrate by reading together. 

First Lady Michelle Obama will also be celebrating Read Across America Day, by reading "Green Eggs and Ham" at the Library of Congress at 11 a.m.  She'll be joined by actress Jessica Alba, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, NEA President Dennis Van Roekel, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and others.
