Over the weekend The New Victory Theater in New York City presented a new family musical, Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds. So Family was invited to enjoy the opening show hosted by ChicBusyMom. I am always grateful for these fun family event invitations and love to share them with families from the So Family community. This weekend we sent one 4 year old and his God Mother, Heather, to experience the show and share it with us. Read her review below.
Transported back to Jamaica, Ziggy his mom and friends perform a musical medley that tells an engaging story of bravery and overcoming fear. The story is told through the eyes of young Ziggy and it highlights the strength and beauty of natural Hair. In addition to the great story and music, viewers get a brief education on the rich and diverse history of Jamaica. All in all the show was great, it had 4 yr olds clapping & dancing in their seats. Adults will surely sing along. I recommend families grab their tickets now while it’s playing .
I am so excited to celebrate the opening of this new family musical here in New York City. The musical opened the day after what would have been the singer and songwriter’s 69th birthday, BOB MARLEY’S THREE LITTLE BIRDS performs at The New Victory Theater on 42nd Street in Times Square, New York City from February 7 – 23, 2014. I hope this musical finds it way across the country so more families will be able to enjoy it. To learn more about the musical please visit The New Victory Theater website, www.newvictory.org.
